Ingredients
- 1-1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 2 cups packed brown sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Preparation
- Preheat oven to 350° F. Spray a 9 x 13-inch baking pan with nonstick spray.
- In a medium bowl combine flour, baking powder and salt.
- Melt the butter in a microwave safe bowl. Add the brown sugar and stir until dissolved. Stir in the eggs and vanilla.
- Stir in the flour mixture.
- Pour batter into the baking pan and bake for 30 minutes, or until bars are set in the middle.
- Cut into 18 squares while bars are still warm.
Helpful hints
- Store in an airtight container.
- Add 1/2 cup butterscotch chips to the batter for extra sweetness and flavor.
