How do I know if I qualify or need coverage through the Marketplace?
To be eligible for coverage through the Marketplace, you must live in the United States and be a lawful resident. In most states, if you are enrolled in Medicare part A and/or part B, you will not qualify to enroll in a plan through the Marketplace.
You may need coverage if:
- You are currently uninsured.
- Your employer is no longer offering coverage (including if you were previously covered under a retiree policy).
- Your current individual plan is no longer being offered in your state/county.
